Before leaving for a memorial service in Oklahoma City, President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton planted a Ruth Ellen dogwood tree on the east side of South Grounds on April 23, 1995. The tree is dedicated in memory of the victims of a terrorist bombing on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building that killed 168 individuals and injured more than 500. Photo taken April 2025.
