The National Park Service (NPS) will limit the number of companies authorized to provide commercial transportation services to big game hunters in Noatak National Preserve in 2010-2011. In addition, a maximum of 357 big game hunters per year will be authorized for all of the CUAs issued. Transporters licensed by the State of Alaska may apply for a maximum of 150 big game hunters per year. Incidental transporters may apply for a maximum of 20 big game hunters per year. The annual number of big game hunters each CUA will be authorized to transport has been capped in order to provide hunters a reasonable variety of transporter services.
