Jamestown Tercentenary Monument
The Jametown Tercentenary Monument was erected by the U.S. Government to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown in 1907.
Jamestown Visitor Center
The Jamestown Visitor Center was opened on March 31, 1957, prior to the 350th anniversary of the founding of Jamestown.
New Towne exhibits
The New Towne area of Jamestown was developed in 1955-56, including interpretive scenes painted by Virginia artist Sidney E. King placed at various points around the site.
Construction of the Jamestown Glasshouse
A joint project of the National Park Service and Glass Crafts of America, the reconstructed Glasshouse was built of hand-hewn oak logs in 1956.
