Return to The Civil War
Volunteers portray camp life at the Spring Encampment, held annually in April.
Inspection of the ranks
Weapons inspection was done to ensure that muskets were properly cleaned to ensure safety in loading and firing.
Visitors and re-enactors interact during the spring encampment.
To keep the encampment grounds clear of disease, digging of the bathroom trenches behind the officers huts was done on a daily basis.
Finished with his guard duty a soldier warms himself by a hut fire while a hut mate heads out to begin his guard duty post.
Trail Crew Volunteers
Trail Volunteers offer their knowledge of carpentry and engineering skills by helping rebuild a trail bridge.
