New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park will premiere the Youth Ambassador Program's (YAP!) new music video, "The Struggle." The YAP! artists will collaborate with park rangers to discuss earlier versions of the video, which was commissioned by the National Park Service, and discuss their artistic process. This premiere is followed by a hip-hop song writing seminar by the artists themselves starting at 6:00. Then, join us for a cool evening of hot swing music. The Sophisticated Swing Band will play a free concert of big band and swing jazz music from the 1920s to the present in the park garden from 7-8:30 PM at the National Park visitor center, 33 William Street, downtown New Bedford. These events are part of New Bedford’s AHA! night (Art, History, Architecture) on May 11. AHA! is New Bedford’s free downtown cultural night and collaborative cultural organization with over 60 downtown venue partners. For more information about AHA!, go to
