Ranchers have arsenals of drugs and vaccines to help improve or maintain the health of their animals. Blackleg, a disease that causes acute infection of muscles and rapid onset of death, has been vaccinated against since Kohrs & Bielenberg’ time and is still vaccinated for by today’s ranchers.
