George Washington's Headquarters
oday, Valley Forge National Historical Park interprets the events surrounding the encampment. Resources include fortifications, Artillery Park, Washington's Headquarters, officers' quarters, and the Grand Parade where von Steuben trained the army. These, along with the museum collections in the visitor center, replica huts, monuments, and interpretive markers tell the story of the men who, at Valley Forge, wrote a critical chapter in America's struggle for independence.
