Gwyneddichnium majore

Gwyneddichnium majore

This fossil displays footprints from a quadrupedal animal with a small five-fingered hand and a larger five-toed foot. Gwyneddichnium majore is an ichnogenus, or a trace fossil, rather than a body fossil. Tanytrachelos, a reptile from the late Triassic, is the most commonly considered trackmaker for Gwyneddichnium.
