Plaque1940s The camp years left an indellible impression on everyone who lived through it. People memorialized this traumatic episode in their lives in a variety of ways. This plaque commemorates Poston Relocation Center, one of two relocation centers in Arizona. It carries the following engraving: God, Don't Forget Poston July 1942 and on the reverse, Entered May 27, 1942 [with a portrait of] Jesus Left October 1943 Jesus Redwood. He kept school books in the pouch. |
