1940s

The camp years left an indellible impression on everyone who lived through it. People memorialized this traumatic episode in their lives in a variety of ways. This plaque commemorates Poston Relocation Center, one of two relocation centers in Arizona. It carries the following engraving:

1940s

As a boy Roger Kozuma made this wool pouch and plaque while he was interned at Poston, Arizona. He kept school books in the pouch.
