Until the Lincoln Home was restored in 1952-54, a caretaker lived on the second floor. The last live-in caretaker, Virigina Stuart Brown, was also an artist, creating this sketch of the house shortly before moving out. Miss Brown was also a descendant of Lincoln’s first law partner.
