Stereograph of Lincoln's Bed
c 1865

Stereographs of famous places and things were popular in the mid-to-late 1800s, including items associated with the Lincoln family.  The massive bed in this image is marked as being Lincoln’s bed and appears to be in his bedroom.  This bed was purchased by the family that rented the house from the Lincolns.  They later moved to Chicago and lost their house and all of their furniture (including many Lincoln pieces) in the Chicago fire of 1871.
