Mug depicting Lincoln Home, Tomb and New Salem.

The Lincoln Home has been open to the public essentially since the Lincolns left in 1861. In 1887, Robert Lincoln deeded the house to the State of Illinois as a museum dedicated to his father. Millions have visited the site since and have treasured mementos like this mug.
