William Howard Shuster
1924

Shuster was a member of the Santa Fe Artists Group in the early to mid 20th Century. This work is one of a series of eight large canvases that were the first paintings ever made of the Caverns. Dramatic use of light and dark creates a compelling sense of being deep inside the cavern illuminated with a bright light.
