The William Kohrs Memorial Library was funded and named by the Kohrs in honor of their only son. He died at 19 of an appendicitis attack. With the obvious heir to the ranch gone, the elderly Kohrs & Bielenberg sold most of their vast holdings. Proceeds created a family trust that continued until after Augusta’s death in 1945.
