The makers of this bisque “fashion doll” would be dismayed by the workaday gown she is wearing. Such dolls were frequently used by seamstresses to model the latest styles. This one was a plaything of Anna and Katherine Kohrs. Perhaps one of them made the simple dress when learning to sew.
