Albert Johnson and Death Valley Scotty
Photograph
c 1930

The friendship between Albert Johnson (left) and Death Valley Scotty (right) is a classic example of opposites attracting. Johnson was a wealthy city slicker looking for adventure out west. Scotty was wandering cowboy looking for wealth. This photo portrays both who they were, and who they wanted to be.
