Pocket Knife
Imperial

Sandburg had been a reader of newspapers since he was a boy. It was customary for Mrs. Sandburg to sew deep pockets into her husband’s jackets so he would have plenty of space to place the newspaper articles he had cut out with his knife. (page 79, Park Handbook) This knife is reminiscent of Sandburg’s days as a movie critic for the Chicago Daily News.
Plastic, metal. H 5.7, W 1.9, T 0.5 cm
