Pair of Wooden Indian Clubs

Carl Sandburg’s recipe for good health, “What I need mainly is three things in life, possibly four: to be out of jail, to eat regular, to get what I write printed, and then a little love at home and a little outside.” (page 632, Niven) What he forgot to add was exercise. These clubs, originally used in India as a form of weaponry, Sandburg used for weighted stretching exercises every morning. He also was an avid walker and a slow eater.
