Bowl
Cochiti Pueblo
1900-1930
The crème-colored slip and red interior of this jar are characteristic of Cochiti Pueblo work, as is the break in the line around the rim. There is a long-time tradition that if the design is unbroken, the potter’s spirit of creativity will be trapped in that piece.
