RANGER-ASSISTED TOURS

A "ranger-assisted tour" is a timed-entry experience that allow visitors to move through a cliff dwelling in a socially distanced way. Rangers stationed along the route will provide brief interpretations of the site.

WETHERILL MESA

(Closed for the season. Will reopen May 2, 2021 or as soon as weather/road conditions permit.)

 
Wetherill Mesa will offer seasonal opportunities. Be sure to pick up a Wetherill Mesa Visitor Guide when you arrive. It will contain a map and information about the best way to visit this part of the park.

 

LATE SPRING - May 2 (or as soon as weather/road conditions permit) to May 28

The Wetherill Mesa Road is open from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Wetherill Mesa will be open self-guided only (no services or cliff dwelling tours). The 5-mile, paved Long House Loop and other existing trails are open for hiking and/or bicycle riding. The Long House, Kodak House, and Nordenskiold #16 cliff dwellings can be viewed from overlooks.

SUMMER/FALL - May 29 to October 23

The Wetherill Mesa Road is open from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm.

The 5-mile, paved Long House Loop and other existing trails are open for hiking and/or bicycle riding. Long House, Kodak House, and Nordenskiold #16 cliff dwellings can be viewed from overlooks.
