Come "Find Your Park" at Mesa Verde National Park during National Park Week, April 18 through 26. To get the celebration going, Mesa Verde National Park will waive entrance fees on April 18 and 19.
As the National Park Service approaches its 100th birthday in 2016, "Find Your Park" is a national movement to connect all Americans with their public lands, especially national parks. The centennial will reflect on the accomplishments of the past, but mainly focus on the future and the desire for everyone to know about and visit their national treasures.
Park Superintendent Cliff Spencer stated, "This is a great time for families to visit their national parks. We encourage all Americans to find their park with us. We hope free entrance will encourage locals and those from out of the area alike to explore Mesa Verde National Park and all it has to offer."
Balcony House opens for the season on April 12. Tours are $4.00 per person, per tour; purchase your tickets at the Visitor and Research Center located at the entrance to the park. Spruce Tree House is open for self-guided tours; no reservation is required.
