The annual Holiday Open House and Luminaria display at Mesa Verde National Park drew over 1000 visitors last week, despite frigid temperatures and fresh snow. "We're delighted that so many people braved the weather to join us," said Superintendent Cliff Spencer. "Many thanks to Aramark, Mesa Verde Museum Association, and Cortez City Market for helping make it a successful night."
Mesa Verde National Park continues to offer visitor services through the winter season. The Visitor Center is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the Chapin Mesa Archeological Museum is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Spruce Tree House is open with free ranger-guided tours offered at 10:30 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily, with opportunities to visit the site on your own beginning December 22. All facilities will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
