The Legendary Larry Doby explores the groundbreaking life and career of the first black player to play in the American League. Doby endured the prejudice of the Jim Crow era, first playing with the Negro National League’s Newark Eagles, and then breaking records with the Cleveland Indians in the American League. A Hall of Fame outfielder, Larry Doby strongly believed in using athletics to bring people together.
