October 5 - Confederate Catastrophe: The Wounding of General Richard S. Ewell
All programs begin at 5 p.m. and last approximately 60-90 minutes.
Flashlights are recommended!
Join a park historian and learn the circumstances of General Richard S. Ewell's wounding at Second Manassas on August 28, 1862. Please meet at the Brawner Farm Interpretive Center (Tour Stop #1). Involves two miles of walking, partly on rocky and uneven terrain. Ranger Hank Elliott
October 12 - Following in the Footsteps of the 7th Georgia
Join a park historian and follow the path of the 7th Georgia Regiment at the First Battle of Manassas. The group will explore the various sites occupied by the regiment during the battle, including the spot where Colonel Bartow fell while personally leading the 7th Georgia in a charge to recapture the Union artillery batteries. October 19 - The Carters: A First Family of Virginia
Join a park historian and learn about one of the first families of Virginia, the Carters. Beginning with John Carter's arrival in 1625, this program will trace the history of the Carter family; focusing on those Carter family members whose lives are linked to the land where the battles of Manassas were fought. Please meet at the Henry Hill Visitor Center. Ranger Liz Hokanson.
October 26 - The New England Patriots Beaten Twice!
