MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky., October 31, 2014 – Do you have roots in Mammoth Cave National Park? You can find out at Roots in the Cave, November 7-8, 2014, when families gather to share memories of their communities that once graced the hills and hollows –and caves –of what is now a national park.

"Roots in the Cave was first presented in the park in 2003 as a joint effort by the Mammoth Cave Hotel and the park," said Superintendent Sarah Craighead. "It has continued each year, always with good attendance and great interest. Local historians often bring new information to light. This year the focus is the Lee family, and Dan Lee will be here to provide his first-person perspective."
