(MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK) Houchins Ferry, Houchins Ferry Road, and First Creek Trail and its campsites reopened today, following the prescribed fire conducted in the park on Monday, March 23.
Collie Ridge, Homestead, Turnhole Bend, Sal Hollow, and White Oak backcountry campsites are open.
Some of the backcountry trails and campsites remain temporarily closed today, including all trails and backcountry campsite west of Collie Ridge Trail. Collie Ridge Trail and trails to its east will remain open, as will Lincoln and Maple Springs trailheads.
