4½ hour Extended Classroom Program
Education rangers will work with you and your class to provide both surface activities and cave tours on a specified topic that you have been studying. The program spends approximately 2 hours on the surface where rangers might conduct a hike, demonstration or activity on a topic chosen by the teacher. After lunch, the class will investigate the same topic in the cave. Groups may spend additional time at the park with advanced planning. This option has a fee of $6 per student. For more information or reservations for this option please contact us.
Cave Tour Field TripIf you're simply planning to bring your students for a cave tour only, no classroom activity, you may be interested in the field trip option. This option allows the students and chaperones (1 chaperone per 10 students) to take the Historic Tour for the educational rate of $6 per student/chaperone. Click here for information on arranging your visit.
If you want to make reservations at the normal ticket rates, you may do so online via <www.recreation.gov> or by calling 877-444-6777. An automatic group discount of $1 off each ticket will be applied if twelve or more tickets are purchased on a single transaction for either the Historic tour or Domes & Dripstones tour. Any tickets booked through the reservation system cannot later be converted into educational rate tickets.
