Only one more week! We had a quiet week for the GPM interns. Tuesday we worked with Laura and Virginia in the Curatorial department. We went up to the attic to assemble some shelves, but we ended up not being able to fit the wheels on them. We abandoned that project and instead sorted through all the books upstairs and made sure everything that was supposed to be there was there. We spent the afternoon putting photographs and slides into plastic sheeting so that they would be easier to store.
Wednesday Dylan and I helped out Kat in the community garden at the high school. We picked some grains and broccoli, weeded, and learned how to braid garlic. We spent the afternoon with Brian and Hali doing water testing at the Pogue Brook. Thursday we did a leadership workshop with Kat. Afterwards I helped Kat put together a video about the VYCC. Friday we watched Virginia’s presentation on her archeology trip to Isreal which was really cool. It was raining so we couldn’t go fix counters in the morning. Instead I’m writing my blog and updating my SCA hours. I have to walk down to the Chamber Booth for the afternoon. Hopefully it will stop raining by then. Tomorrow I’ll be at Billings Farm and Summerfest. I’m looking forward to all the good food!
