Connect, Create, and Discover! Lowell National Historical Park and the Tsongas Industrial History Center are excited to offer hands-on workshops for everyone to come and experience history by doing! Bring the whole family down to the Boott Cotton Mills and use our educational workshop spaces to discover the Industrial Revolution and its legacies. Activities are appropriate for all ages.
Hands-On History workshops will occur every second Saturday of the month – giving you plenty of opportunities for fun in downtown! All are welcome. Drop in any time from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday, October 13th - Hands-On History: Weaving Workshop and Archaeological Artifacts
Boott Cotton Mill Museum, 115 John Street, 3rd Floor - 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Bring the whole family to the Boott Cotton Mills to use our weaving workshop space and see some of the park's archaeological collection to discover more about the Industrial Revolution, the Lowell mill girls, and the impact of the mills on Lowell itself. Activities are appropriate for all ages.
Free parking available at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center parking lot. The address for the lot is 304 Dutton Street, Lowell, MA. Please bring your ticket into the Visitor Center at 246 Market Street to be validated. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the Boott Cotton Mills Museum and Tsongas Industrial History Center. There is paid parking available at the John Street Garage across the street from the Boott Cotton Mills.
