Wellness on the Walkways: Urban Hike
Sunday, June 25th 1 -3 p.m.
Lowell, MA — Join Lowell National Historical Park this summer and fall as we launch the Wellness on the Walkways series. Get outside and get active with a variety of activities such as hikes, yoga, birding, photography, and many more that will explore the waterways and outdoor spaces around Lowell. Attend a FREE program and receive your very own Wellness on the Walkways collectible button! Return for each event and collect the complete series.
Kick off the Wellness on the Walkways series with a hike along the mighty Merrimack River and Western Canal. Discover Lowell’s waterways on this two mile round-trip hike with shorter alternatives available. The walk is free and all are welcome to join us from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 25th. We encourage everyone to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Please bring plenty of water and snacks. Meet the Ranger at the Lowell National Historical Park Visitor Center (246 Market Street, free parking is available at 304 Dutton Street).
The Wellness on the Walkways Series is made possible through an Active Trails grant from the National Park Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks. For more information and future programs, visit www.nps.gov/lowell. #ActiveTrails #WellnessOnTheWalkways
