The Lowell Folklife Series presents free public events throughout the year featuring traditional craft, music, dance, and foodways.
Some events take place within the Lowell National Historical Park (in the visitor center theatre or Boott Mills event center), while others are held in community venues, e.g., church halls, theatres, and social clubs. On occasion, we take out the park's hybrid bus for tours to local ethnic markets and annual events marking cultural and religious ceremonies. The Lowell Folklife Series is a partnership of Lowell National Historical Park and the Massachusetts Cultural Council's Folk Arts & Heritage Program. |
