Author Nicholas Basbanes shares his observations on Fanny Longfellow’s 18 years living in Craigie House, and how the many objects and archival materials preserved here provide insight and depth into who she was and the times in which she lived.

Basbanes has been working with the collections at the site as the primary resource for his dual biography of Henry and Fanny Longfellow, to be titled Cross of Snow: The Love Story and Lasting Legacy of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.

A cake reception will precede the lecture at 2 PM.  Lecture begins at 3 PM.
