We have ranger guided and self-guided education programs at Lewis and Clark National Historical Park. Our programs are open to schools, homeschool and exchange groups as well as other youth groups and college groups.

If you have any questions about the education programs offered, please call the park's education program: (503) 861-4422 or e-mail.

We look forward to exploring history and nature with you!

Reservation Form Guidelines

The Reservation Form is separated out into 5 distinct sections.

Section 1 is required by all applicants for educational programs. Fill out every box as thoroughly as possible.

Section 2 is for all standard field trips to the park site. This includes Me and My Park, Life at the Fort, Class of Discovery, and the self guided Diligent Pursuit. Please fill out all fields as thoroughly as possible, using the program names listed above for the Program or Subject Requested/Self-Guided field.

Section 3 is for special circumstances that allow a ranger to come and visit your class room. Please contact us at lewi_education@nps.gov for inquiries.

Section 4 is for long distance and virtual field trips. Please contact us at lewi_education@nps.gov for inquiries.

Section 5 is the Academic Fee Waiver. This is only necessary if your school group will have students aged 16 and over involved and/or for adult chaperones. For additional information read the below section on the Entrance Fee Waiver.

Entrance Fee Waiver

Park entrance fees can be waived for educational groups from accredited institutions, when class curriculum relates to park resources and Section 5 of the reservation form has been submitted. As students are already free, the waiver is meant to cover the cost of chaperone admission up to a maximum of one adult per three students. For those who do not wish to complete the fee waiver or for adults in excess of the one to three ratio the cost of entrance is $10 per person and should be paid at the visitor center front desk upon arrival.
