TEMPORARY MARINA CLOSURE SCHEDULED OCT 13 DURING COTTONWOOD COVE CLEANUP
BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The Cottonwood Cove Marina on Lake Mohave will be temporarily closed to boat traffic for two hours Oct. 13 during the 16th Annual Ecology Dive and Environmental Clean-up Day.
During the event, volunteers and certified divers will remove litter that has accumulated along the boat harbor, shoreline and below the docks at the marina.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the clean-up activities are 9 a.m. to noon.
The marina will be closed to boat traffic during the two dives from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to ensure the safety of the divers. The area will be patrolled by park rangers.
Individuals or groups interested in volunteering should contact Christopher Pietrafeso at 702-293-8711 or e-mail us.
Divers interested in volunteering should contact Greg Carter at 702-297-1464 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Divers will need to show proof of current diving certification at registration.
The event is hosted by the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Forever Resorts, the Nevada Department of Wildlife and the area scuba diving community.
