18-YEAR-OLD DIED AT LAKE MEAD
 
BOULDER CITY, Nevada – An 18-year-old male died while swimming at Lake Mead National Recreation Area June 17.
 
Around 4 p.m. June 17, the Lake Mead Interagency Communication Center received a call reporting that the teen went missing while swimming at Gregg's Hideout on Lake Mead between 2-3 p.m.
 
National Park Service rangers responded by boat and land in search of the victim. The Bullhead City Dive Team was called in the following morning. The victim was found at 10:18 a.m. June 18 near the point where he was last seen. He was not wearing a life jacket.
 
The incident is under investigation. The Mohave County Medical Examiner will identify the victim and determine cause of death.
