The glass catches the light and gleams. The entrance curves around a round pool that shows the reflection of the entrance and the Arch. Passing through the glass door to either side of the curve, the bright, white entrance area has the ticket center on the left, an information desk in the middle and the security area on the right. Once you pass through security, you descend an escalator into a large area with a soaring white ceiling passing by a mezzanine that has a terrazzo floor with an embedded map showing the path of many trails to the west from St. Louis. Descending further on the escalator you see large screens with movies of natural scenes and reenactments of explorers and pioneers. Passing through the middle of these large screens you enter the museum which features many touchable exhibits for guests with low vision.
