The Education and Interpretation staff at Gateway Arch National Park regularly offer special events and programs for the public. Whether it's commemorating federal holidays and historical anniversaries, Civil War baseball games, or Night Sky programming, there's always something to do at the Arch. The best way to keep up with the latest schedule of events is to check out the park's events calendar.

A partial listing of annual and regularly scheduled programming is listed below. This listing will be updated periodically. To learn more about special events and programming, call the Education Department at 314-655-1637.

Free Family Fridays

Free Family Fridays at Gateway Arch are theme-based programs offering a hands-on opportunity to learn about St. Louis history and westward expansion during the 1800s. Program topic will include Colonial St. Louis, Lewis & Clark, Mountain Man, Pioneers, and Plains Indians. These programs are free to the public. Ages 5 and up. Check the park calendar for dates of programming.

Builders' Events

Construction on the Gateway Arch was completed on October 28, 1965. Since that time, the Education Department has hosted annual "Builders' Events" to commemorate this significant anniversary. Members of the construction crew who contibuted to the building of the Arch visit the park to interact with visitors and discuss their experiences with building the Arch.
