# LET'S PLAY - AGENT SCORE SHEET

READ YOUR ROLE CARD. You make the MOST profit (money) by getting an emigrant to agree to a contract for the greatest number of years possible. Remember, emigrants want to work the fewest years possible, so you will have to bargain with them to get the best deal. Talk with as many emigrants as you like until you get the contract that makes you the most money.

When you bargain with an emigrant ask for their worker classification number. There are 4 worker classifications. Usually, the higher their number the more money you can earn. Your role card tells you the classification number of the worker you want to sign to a contract.

Convince an emigrant to work the MOSTnumber of years possible. Once an emigrant agrees to a contract, calculate how much money you will make based on the number of years they agreed to work times the money value per year for their worker classification number. Remember: it costs you (£10) to transport the emigrant to a colony, so you must subtract the cost of passage (£10) to get your final profit margin.

When you agree on a deal (an indenture contract):
º Shake hands.
º Tell the teacher the agreed upon length of the contract.
º Record the length of the contract and your points on your personal Agent Score Sheet (below). (Use this score sheet for all the rounds of the game).
º Wait until the next round to begin trading again.
º Agent with the highest total profits at the end of the game wins!
