July Events at the Garfield Site

Tuesday July 4, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The James A. Garfield National Historic Site is open on the 4th of July, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. We have tours throughout the day starting at 10:30 and ending at 4:15.

Tours are $7 per person for those that are 16 years old and above. 15 and younger are free. America the Beautiful passes such as the Annual, Senior, Access and 4th grade are accepted.

Naturalization Ceremony on Friday July 7, 2017 at 10 a.m.

In honor of Fourth of July, visit the site to witness dozens of individuals from nations across the globe take the oath as America’s newest citizens. The Garfield home provides an appropriate and idyllic setting for this uniquely American ceremony. This event is planned in partnership with the League of Women Voters, Citizenship & Immigration Services (U.S. Department of Homeland Security), and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. The public is invited to attend this uniquely American event free of charge.
