In June 1998, the Garfield home at James A. Garfield National Historic Site re-opened after a closure of several years. During those years, the home was painstakingly restored to a historically accurate appearance; this is the look of the home that visitors still enjoy today! Learn about the history of the home, the research and work that went into the restoration, and some of the improvements that have been made in the last twenty years. Free of charge.
