Become A Junior Ranger!!
Bring the whole family to Homestead National Monument of America during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend for activities everyone will enjoy!Friday, November 29 through Sunday, December 1, enjoy fascinating Winter Festival of Prairie Cultures displays and give the kids a chance to become a Junior Ranger.
Soon-to-be Junior Rangers will complete a booklet that holds many activities, such as word searches, scavenger hunts, matching activities, and historic "rebus writing." Children are encouraged to find answers to the activities by exploring the museum exhibits and park grounds. After finishing the book and having some fun, Junior Rangers will receive a badge, set of Civil War trading cards, temporary tattoo, and paper Junior Ranger hat. Also, have fun learning about various sites across the State of Nebraska through the "Nebraska Treasures" activity book. All of these activities are self and adult guided, but Park Rangers will be there to help.
