Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site will host two public meetings focused on the creation of a plan for its trail system. The meetings will be held at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, April 11 and at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 12. Both will be in the meeting room at Warwick County Park, 382 County Park Road, Pottstown, Pennsylvania. All are welcome to attend and participate and no reservations are required.
We desire public input on potential opportunities and challenges in the development of a trail plan for the park. The public meetings will present the purpose and need for this project, initial objectives for the trail system, and additional information about the planning process. Park staff will make a brief presentation followed by a Q&A session to review the materials presented.
If you are unable to attend the public meetings, you will be able to review the session’s materials and post comments on the National Park Services Planning, Environment and Public Comment web site at: https://parkplanning.nps.gov/projectHome.cfm?projectID=68966. Materials from the public meeting will be posted for viewing and the comment period open on April 11, 2017. The comment period will close May 12, 2017.
If you have questions or would like to be added to our mailing list for this project, please contact Hopewell Furnace NHS Site Manager David Blackburn at (610) 582-8773, extension 230 or David_Blackburn@nps.gov.
