Junior Ranger Program

Young people can become more involved in the National Park experience by participating in the Junior Ranger Program. At each park, materials are available to help participants learn more about that area. Hopewell Furnace NHS has three levels of materials for young visitors to select from (covering ages 3 - 14), depending on their learning level. Each includes objects to locate and questions to answer regarding the history of the site. When the materials are completed, they can be brought to the visitor center where a park ranger or volunteer will check the results and award the new Junior Ranger with an official Junior Ranger badge from Hopewell Furnace NHS.
