Annual and Statistical Reports for FY 2016 Released

—Washington, DC—Technical Preservation Services (TPS) has released the Annual and Statistical Reports for the Historic Preservation Tax Incentives program for FY 2016. Certified rehabilitations created more than 108,528 jobs and leveraged $5.85 billion of investment this year.

Final Report on the Imlementation of Program Review Recommendations and Action Plan Issued

The National Park Service issued a final report in December 2016 summarizing the actions taken to implement the results of an internal review on promoting the use of the Federal Historic Preservation Tax Incentives Program in urban and economically depressed areas. The issuance of this final report marks the conclusion of this review, which was requested by then-Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar in 2013.

Preservation Brief 41 Updated

—Washington, DC—Technical Preservation Services (TPS) has released a revised and updated Preservation Brief 41 under the title The Seismic Rehabilitation of Historic Buildings. It was written by TPS staff member Antonio Aguilar. This new publication replaces the earlier text for Preservation Brief 41, which was previously titled The Seismic Retrofit of Historic Buildings: Keeping Preservation in the Forefront, released in 1997. The new Preservation Brief 41 is available to download as a pdf or in print from the Government Printing Office.
