MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK
Paradise Guide House and Comfort Station (circa 1920)

Staff and visitor facilities such as guide huts, ranger stations, and comfort stations like those depicted here in the Paradise Development Area, are examples of the behind-the-scenes operations, which take place throughout the national parks. The Paradise Guide House was built by the Rainier National Park Company, and is the park's only building with a gambrel roof.31
