MOUNT RAINIER NATIONAL PARK
Paradise Inn (1917)

An important decorative element in the lobby is the hand-crafted cedar furniture. During the winter of 1916-1917, Hans Fraehnke, a creative German woodcrafter, lived at Paradise Inn. To help pass the time during the long winter, he crafted a piano, a grandfather clock, and probably the woodwork around the registration desk.25
