The Institute of Museum and Library Services, offers many types of grants to libraries, museums, historical societies, and community leaders.

The National Institute for Conservation’s Conservation Assessment Programs allows selected museums to receive a general conservation assessment from professional conservators.

The National Endowment for the Humanities offers a wide range of grants in the humanities.

The Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation provides grants for community improvement projects and public education.

The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation’s Art History, Conservation, and Museums grants provide funding for the endowment of positions, research support, and more.

The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works provides scholarships and grants in support of educational opportunities for conservation professionals.
