Holland Prize: Submission Guidelines


Final submission packages should contain the following:

  • Final plot on archival vellum. Note: Plotting is available from the HDP office, upon prior arrangement with the Holland Prize Coordinator.
  • Original field notes organized and labeled with the HABS, HAER, or HALS number on each sheet. Fold the field notes to 8½ x 11". Do not bind them.
  • Signed copyright release form (pdf)
  • CD/DVD containing the following files:
    • CAD file of the drawing with any supporting fonts and plotter configuration information
    • High-quality pdf of the final drawing (24 x 36", ARCH D)
    • MS Word file of the historical report (if applicable)


The postmark deadline is 1 October.

How to send your drawing:

Due to federal government irradiation procedures for U.S. Postal Service mail, it is strongly recommended that Holland Prize submissions be sent via FedEx, UPS, or another delivery service.
