 You are invited to Find Your Park at Hampton National Historic Site where the National Park Service continues to preserve a diverse story of American life over 200 years of change and growth. Come be a part of our annual celebration "Holidays at Hampton: Through the Generations" and explore the Christmas traditions of Hampton from 1790 to the modern era. 

Free parking and continuous shuttle bus service available from Towson United Methodist Church up the street from Hampton NHS at 501 Hampton Lane. Times of shuttle bus are: Saturday, Dec 9th, 12pm-9pm and Sunday December 10, 12pm-6pm.

Schedule of Events

SATURDAY DECEMBER 9th: 10am-8pm

Mansion
10:00am & 11:00am Guided Mansion Tours—Join our volunteer docents as they guide you through seven generations of life at Hampton Hall.

1:00pm–4:00pm Open House—Travel through decades of American history as you tour the mansion and learn about life and Christmas traditions at Hampton Hall.
1:00pm–3:00pm  “Lady with a Harp” in the Great Hall—Enjoy a live musical performance by Elaine Bryant, The American Harp Society, Charm City Chapter.
3:00pm–5:00pm  Music in the parlor—Enjoy a performance by Anita Avery as she plays the piano in the parlor.
6:00pm–8:00pm “Candlelight” Open House—Travel through decades of American history as you make your way room to room  and learn about life and Christmas traditions at Hampton Hall.
6:00pm–8:00pm Christmas Caroling—Enjoy Christmas carols with The Larks in the Great Hall.
Farm and Lower House
12:00pm–5:00pm Period Arts and Crafts—Come to the Lower House to make period crafts including corn husk dolls and garlands.
12:00 pm - Storytelling Hour with Griots' Circle of Maryland member Gordan "Soorah" Parks.
2:00pm “Christmas in the Big House, Christmas in the Quarters” Farm Tour
with Ranger Anokwale
Last entry in the mansion will be at 4:00 pm to prepare for the evening festivities. Mansion will reopen at 6:00 pm for the "Candle Light" tours.

Parking Information
Parking advisories will be in effect Saturday, December 9th - Sunday, December 10th
 
Hampton has three public parking lots; located at the Visitor Contact Station, Orangery (upper lot), and Lower Farm. The Orangery parking lot will be designated as an ADA accessible only parking area. All parking is free on a first come, first serve basis. Space on site is limited.

Additional parking will also be available, approximately 1 mile west, at Towson United Methodist Church at 501 Hampton Lane where a FREE, ADA accessible, shuttle bus will transport visitors to and from Hampton National Historic Site. Shuttle bus hours will be 12pm - 9pm on Saturday and 12pm - 5pm on Sunday.
 

The shuttle bus will make the following stops along its route: Visitor Contact Station, upper parking lot (where visitors can then walk to the mansion), and Towson United Methodist Church. Please note the Lower Farm is not on the shuttle bus route but is accessible by driving or walking.

Please note that the gravel drive at the Lower Farm will be designated a one-way street during both days of the event and all vehicles will be directed to exit at St. Francis Road when leaving the Lower Farm (signs will guide you back to Hampton Lane).

Vehicles will not be permitted to park along Hampton Lane. This includes areas in front of fences and the historic entrance gate.
