The park's Cultural Resources staff will offer unique guided hikes, presentations, and talks throughout the year. Please note, any programs marked with ** are also part of the Storer College 150th Commemoration schedule.

Description: A brief history and tour of this gorgeous landscape through the eyes of an archeologist.

The Search for Alexander Morrell **

Location: Curtis Freewill Baptist Church

Description: Is Reverend Alexander Morrell buried in Harpers Ferry, where he dedicated his life to Storer College? Find out about the search for the good reverend's final resting place.

Loudoun Heights Hike
Date: May 8, 2017
Time: 9:30 am
Location: The Green, Lower Town
Length: 5 hours
Description: Join park rangers for a 6-mile round-trip hike to Split Rock, learning about the history of the mountain along the way. This is a strenuous hike and proper footwear is required. Bring water, snacks, and lunch. Limited to 20 participants. Pre-registration required by calling 304-535-6038.

Archeology and the US Armory Grounds

A Landscape Through Time: The Historical Development of Camp Hill **

Location: Information Center, Lower Town
Description: Opening reception. This exhibit will explore the historical development of Camp Hill, featuring its early use by the U.S. Armory, during the conflict of the Civil War, then as the campus for Storer College, and, finally, as part of the National Park System today.
